MIAF 2024 festival guide

We’ve put together a little festival guide. This is for people who haven’t been to Melbourne International Animation Festival before, or after a bit more info.

We cover a bunch of topics:

Tickets – we’ll update this as more sell out.

Venues – where they are and how to get there.

Food & drink – what’s available at each venue.

Voting – what it is and how to do it.

If you’ve been hanging out for individual tickets, now is the time to get them. Individual ticket: $19 full, $16 concession.

We are able to sell tickets at the venue if seats are available. Only card payments can be accepted. No cash.

A few programs have already sold out:

There’s a lot of programs close to selling out.

If you’ve been thinking of going to any of those session, get in now. Once they’re sold out there’s no extra seats!

Plus, nearly all Passes are sold out. The only one left is the BINGE Pass. This is a great way to catch all the International Competition Programs at a heavily reduced price.

BINGE Pass: access to all 5 competition programs at Treasury Theatre on the closing weekend.
$48 full, $40 concession.

A reminder that we have two different venues.

How

As easy as 1, 2, 3.

  1. Go to the Audience Voting page. A convenient button will be on the top of the website once live.
  2. Select the program you want to vote for. This will take you to the voting form.
  3. Rate the films. With 5 being top score. You don’t have to vote for each film.

When

Voting will open at the start of the session.

Voting closes midnight the following day. With two exceptions:

  • Sessions on Saturday 11th, will close at midnight the same day.
  • Sessions on Sunday 12th, will close at 6pm that day.

That’s it for our guide.
