Slide – Bill Plympton [2024]
Bill Plympton wrote the rule book on what it is to be a truly indie American animator. His unique style has influenced generations of animators who sought to follow in his footsteps and entertained audiences around the world. When we saw his latest feature – SIX years in the making – drop we swooped in and nabbed it and proudly place it in this closing Friday night timeslot.
The tale of a mythical cowboy who appears in a corrupt logging town (circa 1940s) and with the aid of his slide guitar and a giant Hellbug, he’s able to battle the evil Mayor and his equally selfish twin brother to clean up the logging town of Sourdough Creek.
There is only one Bill Plympton!
