The MIAF team and family are saddened by the passing of Jane Brownrigg.
Jane has been a regular volunteer at MIAF over many years. Many of you would have seen Jane over the years, and especially this year as she sorted out most of our guest tickets.
Her involvement in political activity has been a big part of her life and passion. She has campaigned with The Greens and independently to support many social and environmental causes. Jane has also been heavily involved in the art and creative industry in Melbourne over many decades. She was a familiar face in many communities and festivals, whether as a volunteer or a regular patron.
She was a very big supporter of local radio, naturally including stints as a volunteer for many stations over the years. She was a host of the show Music Matters at 3CR. PBS wrote a lovely piece on her involvement.
We all will deeply miss her. Our love and care to those who knew her.
