You always know when you’re watching a Felix Colgrave film. You might not know what’s going on, you might not know what the creatures populating it are or what they are capable of doing, but nobody makes films that look like Felix Colgrave’s films. They are, in the truest sense of the word, unique.

Like kids’ films on acid, the characters and the environments are wildly imaginative, stylistically aligned with a kind of magical realism meets happy nightmare and they just…don’t…stop. They roll out a menagerie that can only come from one mind and we want to sit down with that mind and find out what it takes to get this Noah’s Arc of Infinitely Flexible Illusion onto the screen, film after film after film.

We are putting together a program that selects films from the catalogue of unrestrained wonder that is Felix Colgrave’s archive. What sitting down and watching this parade will feel like is anybody’s guess but a chance to talk with Felix, take a look inside the magic kingdom he carries around in his head and learn where these films came from and are going to is a great way to round any Friday night.
