Lucy Davidson is carving out a remarkable career in the world of animation. In 2020 Lucy graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts with a freshly minted Bachelors in Animation. In 2023 she worked on Adam Elliot’s just released, award winning stop-motion feature “Memoir Of A Snail”, developing her skills in the art department, set dressing and animation. In 2024, Lucy won The Pink Floyd Animation Music Video Competition with her entry “Speak to Me”, created in her quirky mixed media style. And her latest film – “Baggage” – was created under the umbrella of the Aardman Academy…. yes, the same Aardman that made “Chicken Run,” “Wallace & Gromit,” “Shaun the Sheep,” and “Morph.”
We are opening this year’s MIAF International Animation Day Shorts program with “Baggage” but before we do we are going to sit down with Lucy and talk to her about her animated life (so far).
