Join us for a newly expanded retrospective of Polish-Australian animator Antoinette Starkiewicz, following the success of our sold-out MIAF 2024 showcase.
This edition features more of Antoinette’s bold and unforgettable work. Known for her dazzling and vibrant animation, Antoinette’s creations were often as irreverent and raunchy as they were bewitchingly delicate. With films often inspired by music and dance, Antoinette’s unique filmography delves into themes of feminine sexuality and agency, critiques of commercialism, the ‘sanitisation’ of art, and more. Her trailblazing work leaves an indelible mark on animation history.
