Animating Worlds in Virtual Production
A masterclass for all in bringing stop-motion animation and virtual production together.
The rise of virtual production in the screen industry has revolutionised the way that animation merges with live action film and television. Through the creation of environments using 3D software and real-time technologies, audiences are transported to diverse places, worlds and universes, sometimes beyond our imaginations. Significantly, virtual production relies heavily on animation and this master class seeks to foreground how animation (both traditional and digital) can be utilised in the virtual production space.
Join world class animators, industry representatives and academics for this interactive, one-day masterclass at Deakin University’s virtual production studio and learn about the role animation plays within virtual production from concept to screen. Presenters include Oscar-nominated animator Anthony Lucas (The Mysterious Geographic Explorations of Jasper Morello), Jack Condon (Epic Games) and Simeon Taylor (3D animator and lecturer, Deakin University).
