We are excited that after a complete two-year transformation, ACMI – Melbourne’s museum of screen culture – is reopening its doors today 11 February 2021!
The renewed museum includes playable and interactive experiences, a captivating centrepiece exhibition The Story of the Moving Image, and state of the art education spaces, all tied together with a multiplatform museum model connecting physical and digital content in ways not yet seen in Australia. The Story of the Moving Image traverses time, countries and cultures in a mesmerising exploration of an art form that changed the world. The exhibition is open 364 days a year, is completely free and offers deep interactive and immersive experiences to visitors of all ages.
ACMI have extended opening hours to let you navigate their universe of film, TV, videogames and art. You can find out more and book a free, timed-entry ticket.
