Meet The Filmmaker: Sander Joon
Meet The Filmmaker: The Strange & Wonderful Worlds of Sander Joon
Sander Joon is the quintessential new generation Estonian animator, taking the best of the richly unique animating culture and bringing a uniquely personal 21st century edge to his work. A graduate of the EKA Estonian Academy of Arts (MIAF’s ‘School of Focus’ this year), he produced THREE stunningly original, narrative-bending films there, including “Velodrool” which took out MIAF 2016’s Best Of The Festival award. After the screening of this mini-retrospective Sander will join us live on-line from Tallinn to talk us through how and why he does what he does. We saved this one for Friday – it just seemed the right thing to do.
