We are bringing together an incredible panel of industry pros to dive into the evolving role of women-identifying and non-binary creators in animation. We’ll chat about representation, career wins, ongoing challenges, and the importance of building a network in the industry. Stick around after the panel to meet like-minded creatives and learn how to get involved with future WIA Connects in Melbourne!\n\n\n\nThe pannel will include:\n\n\n\n\nEleanor Weeks – Ella has been in the industry for over 6 years. Starting as an Intern, she is now a VFX Line Producer at Framestore. \n\n\n\nElla Moffatt – Ella is a 2D character animator and 2022 RMIT Animation graduate. Ella has worked across background art, layout, design, animation (and supervision) and storyboarding, and now brings bold characters and playful worlds to life at Studio Showoff.\n\n\n\nKelly Lynagh – Kelly is the Co-owner at 12field Animation Studio in Melbourne, with over 20 years experience in directing, animation, and producing kid television.\n\n\n\nJoy Zou – host of the event and Producer at MIAF. Joy is currently working as a Production Assistant at Framestore, Melbourne. She is also a 2D animator (her film is showing in the Australian Showcase on opening night), and the Founder and former President of WeAnimate Club – WIA’s first international student collective in Australia.\n\n\n\n\nWIA Melbourne – Connect\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n↑ ( #top )\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease note that Backlot is NOT fully accessible.
