DESCRIPTION:This workshop will be run at COLLARTS and is limited to just six (6) people. This will followed by a Q&A session ( https://miaf.net/events/ai-qa/ ) available to everyone.\nCalling All Animators – Come Play, Come Learn\nIs Artificial Intelligence (AI) coming or is AI here? For as long as animators have been animating they have been experimenting, pushing technical boundaries and embracing new technologies. One way or another AI will recontour the way animation is imagined and produced. But how that reshaping of the animation production landscape will occur is still up for grabs.\nIf you are an animator wondering where to start, this International Animation Day COLLARTS and MIAF have joined forces to offer you an easy, low-key way to take a test drive on the AI freeway. A free half-day workshop on the COLLARTS campus will give six (6) animators a chance to experiment with the AI-powered video editing tool EbSynth under the leadership of animator and director Lachlan Gordon.\nLachlan used the AI generative powers of EbSynth in his most recent film “Pollutant” which was featured in the 2023 Melbourne International Animation Festival. He will bring all the lessons learned in that process into this workshop and share them with you.
