SUMMARY:MOME Showcase (Hungary) [2023]
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS ( https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/miaf-2023-mome-showcase-hungary-tickets-623160438647 )\nHere at MIAF, we’re not the only ones to notice it. The rise and rise of Hungarian animation is one of the subjects that comes up over and over at festivals when programmers get together to try and outsmart each other.\nThe reasons for it may be elusive but the results speak for themselves. The work being produced in Hungary at the moment – especially at the MOME Animation School in Budapest – is inspiring. When MIAF visited MOME we found a brand new facility that blended the latest technology with the age-old arts skills that animators have deployed since the beginning of time. Turning up for the MOME graduation ceremony was like visiting a rock concert, the energy was running at 11 and people had come from all over Europe for it. The students were the stars and they knew, their work pulsed with that knowledge and confidence.\nThis Showcase is a glimpse inside a rapidly changing animation scene that is going from strength to strength before our very eyes.\nBye Little Block – Jozsef Fulop, Eva Darabos\nBye Little Block\nJozsef Fulop, Eva Darabos\nHungary, 8’41, 2020\nFox Tossing – Zeno Mira\nFox Tossing\nZeno Mira\nHungary, 7’48, 2023\nAvant – Marcell Mostoha\nAvant\nMarcell Mostoha\nHungary, 3’41, 2021\nReduction – Reka Anna Szakaly\nReduction\nReka Anna Szakaly\nHungary, 10’56, 2021\nA World In Chaos – David Crisp\nA World In Chaos\nDavid Crisp\nHungary, 9’46, 2023\nThe Wellspring And The Tower – Melinda Kadar\nThe Wellspring And The Tower\nMelinda Kadar\nHungary, 7’33, 2020\nFrom The Corner Of My Eye – Domonkos Erhardt\nFrom The Corner Of My Eye\nDomonkos Erhardt\nHungary, 6’06, 2022\nTICKETS ( https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/miaf-2023-mome-showcase-hungary-tickets-623160438647 )\n\nThis session is classified: Unclassified (M) Mature, not recommended for viewers under 15 years.\nPlease note that Backlot is NOT fully accessible.
