Where does the time go? Melbourne’s RMIT animation course has turned 21. Looking back, we see a course that pursued new technologies and challenged established orthodoxies about what animation is and what it can be used for. They have been early adopters of tools, styles and techniques in their quest to lead the way in exploring emerging fields including the earliest CG, gaming and interactive animation. This collection of films is a glimpse into the diversity of the first 21 years of RMIT animation and will be followed by a panel discussion that will include some of the filmmakers from the period.
