| 40 YEARS OF ANIMATION PRODUCTION Flying Bark Productions is Australia’s leading children’s entertainment company with television product ranging from pre-school to young adult, and genres including animation, live action, and magazine style platform programs. We are at the forefront of children’s television production. The company is also committed to branching out into the interactive worlds of new media, with DVD board games, mobile content and technologies plus multi-media production. Flying Bark Productions began life as Yoram Gross Film Studios in 1968. First established as a family based animation studio the company has now grown into a major player on the world stage in the provision of quality children’s and family entertainment. Flying Bark Productions successful products include Blinky Bill, Bambaloo, Art Alive, Flipper and Lopaka and Atmosfear – The DVD Board Game. The studio first made international headlines with the feature film Dot and the Kangaroo. This led to another 14 feature films being produced before the studio diversified into making animated series for television. In 1992 the first Blinky Bill series was produced and achieved international success as both a broadcasting and merchandising property. Following Blinky Bill, Tabaluga was co-produced with EM.Entertainment, and in 1998 the series became the top rating children’s show in Germany. This was followed by the animated series’ Flipper & Lopaka as well as the animated Skippy. The company then moved into live action and mixed media with productions such as K-Zone TV, Bambaloo and Art Alive. Meanwhile the company’s interactive department expanded its remit to include web development, DVD board games and mobile based content, products and applications, In 2006 EM.Entertainment purchased from the Gross family the remaining 50% share of Yoram Gross-EM.TV, which has now become Flying Bark Productions. In 2008 the company has a fresh slate of programs in production including Zigby, Master Raindrop, Zeke’s Pad and Enyo. |
